I currently reside in the North Georgia Mountains with my supportive husband, beautiful daughter, a dog that thinks she’s human, a cat who thinks she’s a dog, and an overworked coffeemaker.
I began my writing journal several years ago in high school when I started a romance manuscript on a whim. I started as a journalism major in college, but life took me in a another direction. My manuscript collected dust while I earned my MBA and I’ve spent the last 20+ years in the finance management field.
A few years back, a health scare made me realize just how much I missed writing and that the passion never died. Bolstered by encouragement from fellow writing friends and readers, I joined a couple of writing organizations to continue my education in the writing craft and to learn the business of indie book publishing.
I’m a member of the Romance Writers of America, Georgia Romance Writers, and the Georgia Writers Association. In addition to writing romance, I also write short stories and other fiction under the name Kaleigh Peake. I’m also the co-host of a weekly podcast on indie romance called The Misfits Guide to Writing Indie Romance. You can find it at iTunes, Google Play, and Stitcher.
I love hearing from you guys, so feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also follow my shenanigans on Twitter (@elizapeake), Facebook (Eliza Peake), and Instagram (@elizapeake).
